Google Talk and Video Plug In Problems on Intel Imac

I am having problems trying to download/install the new Gmail voice/talk and Video Plug in on my Intel Imac, when i attempt to click on the Google link I am informed that they do not support PowerPC macs. I do not have a PowerPC mac. Google and a shed load of press releases claim that Gmail Voice/talk & Video is fully supported for Intel macs, Running Tiger and The latest version of Safari. I cannot find a posting or a resolution to this issue i am having on all the Google help pages.
Does anyone else have this problem, or has managed to sort it out.
I have an Intel Imac 17inch, 1.83ghz, with 2 gig of Ram, running The latest versions of Tiger and safari.
Any help or advice anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated.

on my MBP, it shows an update of Googletalk Plugin when i try to install it, it shows an error... it does that always... I dont know whats wrong.. if it is wrong type , why does it bother to pop up
