Flagged Emails Disappearing

I use email content daily and save them under a colored flag. I go to use them, and randomly they are no longer in the flagged email file.
I look for the flagged email in trash, archived and can't find them. Where do they go? Has anyone had this problem??

I have the same problem. Using OS High Sierra 10.13.1
