Firewire cables

I wonder if anyone can help with information regarding firewire cables? I've recently bought an iMAC G5, and wish to transfer some files from my previous machine, which was a MAC G4. Would I be correct in thinking I need a four - pin male to male lead, or would it be something else? I'd be most grateful for any help from anyone on the forum.
