I am having problems with external disks either not mounting or dis-mounting themselves with the error message "disk not ejected properly etc...
I run repair disk permissions and this solves the problem for a few hours then it reoccurs.
A couple of weeks ago I installed a larger internal disk and made bootable copy and began using this as the start-up volume. This is when the problems started happening. I switched back to the original start - up disk, but the problem has just happened again.
I can't keep repairing disk permissions has anybody got any ideas ? I'm still on OSX 10 .6.8
