Entourage Problems

Hello everyone,
I am having a problem with entourage constantly updating folders to my exchange server. I am using a hosted exchange server so i don't have much control on checking any settings on the server. I have all of the schedules turned off yet it still goes to update all folders every other minute or so. I have 3 other g4's using this setup without any problems and have already reloaded os X and office 2004.. I also still get the spinning ball everytime i type a message. Any ideas? suggestions?

It's been a while since I have used a similar setup...

How about trying it a different way, set up a schedule...tell it to do check mail etc every 10 mins...

Is this the current version that you are using ?

As for the spinning Beachball...the only thing I can find...

...Apparently it's Spotlight trying to index the Entourage Mail DB. Tell Spotlight to ignore the Microsoft User Data folder (Users > Documents > Microsoft User Data)
