problems with entourage

I originally registered with freeserve, who were successively taken over by wanadoo and orange. This has not significantly affected incoming mail, but recently there have been error messages when sending mail, informing me that my smtp should be orange.com. I've tried changing the account settings for my freeserve account, but with no consistent improvement. I have often been able to send of jammed mail by going off line, quitting entourage and reopening. However I've now just started with BT Broadband and this procedure doesn't work any more. Does anyone have a good overview of using e-mail accounts with Entourage? All advice welcomed!

Hi John and welcome,

can I just ask you to clarify...I take it your ISP is now BT broadband but who is your email with ?
