The "Documents" folder appears in the sidebar of my Ventura 13.5.1 iMac and "Get Info" shows it contains 39.55 GB but I cannot open it. This might have occurred either on a recent OS update or by my mistaken subscription to iCloud. The contents appears in my Time Machine backup but the Restore option is greyed out. If this is because of iCloud I will be intending to stop using it whenever I can be certain I will not lose any data since I have adequate levels of my own backup.
PLEASE can anyone help?

Instead of trying to open it from the sidebar, use the Go menu in the Finder and select Documents.

When you do this, does the folder name say "Documents - Local" or "Documents - iCloud". This will tell you where your documents folder is located.

It could just be that the link in the sidebar is broken.

If it does say iCloud, you can turn off Desktop & Documents folder in the iCloud Drive system settings.
