Hi Everyone,
I'm a beginner in Automator usage and I've never used it before now.
I'm asking if it is the right choice for detecting when a certain application starts or alternatively (the same for my intent) a specific window open, and consequently execute further actions like pressing a button, record the event timestamp and so on.
In Automator I didn't find anything it could be suitable for this but, as I've said before, I'm not an expert and surely I didn't yet understand the philosophy of the product.

Tnx for any help.
Any link to good resources to learn some more about Automator is as well appreciated.
Bye

Sorry, the security in OSX stops this.
You need to have a background task running all the time polling all Apps.
You might be able to do that with AppleScript but its going to slow your Mac down.
