Card reader won't read Micro SD card solution

I bought a new drone and it came with a new 64gb micro SD card.
My card reader wouldn't read it or rather it wouldn't show up on the desktop.
After a bit of investigation and trying a few things that didn't work I inserted the card in a SD adapter that allows you to use a micro SD in an SD slot. This worked. I surmise that the micro SD reader was not able to read this later model/higher spec card but it was happy when it was in the SD adapter.
A useful workaround.
