I've been using my mac (software OS 10.5) for two and half years with no problems... until now. I've finally used up all of my hard disk space and now when I try to free up space on the hard disk I can't.
I've moved files to the trash and then emptied the trash both normally and securely. Every time the deletion seems to go fine but the hard disk shows the same amount of free space (which is at the moment nothing). The files I've deleted appear gone (they have vanished from where they were stored originally) and yet I have no new space.
I've tried restarting the computer but that doesn't seem to help.
Please Help!
