I could use some help, please

I had to reinstall nigh Sierra, because my Apple Mail did not work.
It could not, failed all the time, I know I could not even start my iMac.

So I pressed "alt" understart and could choose Machintosh instead of "installer".

But now I have a empty screen, and all my data is locked away.

How do I open these Locked folders?

Right-click on the folder and select the 'Get Info' option from the context menu.

Click the box next to the Locked option to remove the check mark from the box and unlock the folder.

Click the X at the top left corner of the window to close the Get Info window and save the changes.
