Mac Mini Firmware Locked but Windows Access

I have late model mac mini 2012. I am not able to boot into MacOS but I am able to get into Windows 10 just fine. Is there anyway to access the password for the firmware from Windows OS?

-Which version of OS X?
-What happens if you hold the Option key until you see the Apple logo and enter the Startup Manager?
-How is Windows 10 installed - using Boot Camp? If so, did you install the Windows support software from Apple?

To be honest I am not sure on what version of OS X is installed but pro yosemite or el captain . The start up manger will not load just the screen for firmware password. I do have full access on windows 10 and its installed using bootcamp
