Mac Showing Black screen, Unable to Access Recovery Mode

Hello all,

I am stuck on Black Screen of My iMac. No matter how much I try to boot into recovery mode, nothing happens. I wonder if it is software corruption or hardware failure. I have a lot of important data that I want back safely. No idea what to do!

Any suggestion would be appreciated. Hopefully, My problem gets resolved here.

Hello,

-Which exact model iMac?
-Which version of OS X/macOS?
-Have you tried Safe Boot?
-Sounds like you don't have a Time Machine or other backup of your data, correct?
