Hi all,

I have a program which won't install on 10.5 as it says classic is no longer available. Is there anyway I can get it working?

Cheers,
Phil

Hello Fev79!

What is your processor based on? Is it Intel or is it PowerPC?

Classic is the enviroment on PPC for running MacOS 9 applications. It is not available at all on Intel Macs. What it would do was it would "boot" MacOS 9 in a kind of virtual enviroment so you could run MacOS 9 applications inside OS X.

I saw at a few websites that eMedia Bass Method is OK to run on an Intel Mac as well as PPC.

Can't verify this and don't know if it's Leopard that refuses to recognise the eMedia Bass installer or whether Tiger would accept it?
