Using the Sierra operating system, is there a way to block unprotected and unwanted wi-fi networks from connecting when you turn on your computer? It is easy enough to just select the network you want, but these networks (belonging to neighbors in the same apartment building) are an annoyance and potentially invasive. Can they just be blocked so they don't appear on the list of available networks?

Hello and welcome.

They aren't actually connecting to your Mac, they are just shown as networks that are available. There isn't any way to block/hide them. You are safe, as you would need to enter a username and password to actually join them.

Hope that helps,

C
