Wondershare video converter

Hi everyone,
Just a quick question that I hope you can help me with . . . Is the Wondershare free video converter safe to use ? I've recently bought a new iMac M3 and I'm wary of downloading apps that I'm not sure about, so if anyone has used this app is it OK ? .

I have been using Handbrake (https://handbrake.fr) for over a decade. It's free and one of the best video converter/compression apps out there. I would recommend that over anything else.

Thank you, MacBug. I Have handbreak, but didn't realise you coulld convert videos to mp3, so I'll give it a go

Videos can be converted to MP4. MP3 is an audio file. If you want to extract the audio only from a video file, you can use QuickTime for that.

Thanks for the heads up . . . I do have quicktime, but haven't as yet explored it, so I must have a play with it .
