WiFi Nightmare

Hi,

I know this must be a common topic. I've read a variety of articles and watched videos. Still, no success.

I'm a Mac laptop using Yosemite and cannot get wifi working. I'm totally stumped. Please help me.

A few questions so we can try and help you out:

-Which model Mac?
-Has Wi-Fi ever worked?
-Do you have an Ethernet connection and does it work?
-Do you have a Time Machine or other backup of your data/files?
-Can other devices access your Wi-Fi at your location?
-Can you access Wi-Fi at other locations
