Updating from panther to tiger using another mac DVD

Hi.
At christmas this year, I bought a new powerbook 15in. 1.67 ghz, but kept my older 1.5ghz. The new powerbook has tiger the old one still has panther. Is there any way I can use my installation cd from my newer powerbook and install osx tiger on my older powerbook?

Hi there and welcome,

technically there is nothing stopping you loading it...

But the software license does not allow this, unless you buy the Family Version which allows you to install on more than one Mac.
