Unable to recover Macbook

Hello Everyone, I have been facing issue with macbook, I have boot it up in recovery mode and in disk utility menu, I am only able to see Apple disk image and no physical drive is being seen because of which I am unable to select location for re-installation of macos, I would like to know what can be done to recover the macbook.

What model MacBook do you have? When you boot into recovery, are you booting into normal or internet recovery.

If internet recovery, then it may be that your drive needs replacement.
