Unable to complete composing an email in iCloud Mail

In iCloud Mail on an iMac running Ventura 13.5, while composing an email, the typing of characters suddenly stalls. Unable to find a fix! All help appreciated. Thank you.

  • Are you using Safari, or another browser?
  • Do you have any browser extensions installed?
  • Does the issue only happen on the iCloud page?
