SOLVED The server returned the error: Connections to the server p50-imap.mail.me.com on the default ports timed out.

I have tried everything I know to re-instate my mail incoming from icloud to my Mac (OS 10.11.6) but nothing is working. The Mac support page pointed me in what I thought was the right direction but I'm left with only the On My Mac messages. No problem with outgoing. Any thoughts?

This whole thing just cleared up...so the problem was Apple's not mine. Infuriating but I'm relieved.

Not sure if helpful but I use this page to determine if a problem is mine or Apple’s. It’s easy to navigate and clear which service is down.

Thanks maw walker. I did look at this but mail did not show up as having an issue, so I thought it was me.
