I have had this cracked up screen image occasionally on my old 2012 iMac running high Sierra.

but first time on my M1 iMac since I bought it March... I am sure it is Safari running out of memory I only have one page loaded, and was just running the cursor over the various images to select one that I like to open...

I would have though safari had improved since 2012..

not a great problem. just quit out and logged back in.. but in my 2012 iMac it occasionally led to a system crash, and in one case a Kernel panic.

regards, Sandy

Hello,
  • Do you happen to have any antivirus or Internet utilities installed?
  • Or, any Safari Extensions?
  • Does it happen in another browser like Chrome?
