Strange bar on top of finder

Hi all,

I am new to the mac. i just bout a macbook pro 13 inch 2010 version and i am very happy with it. Just that there is this small quirk, there seems to be a weird bar on top of the finder icon in he doc that i get, i tried restarting the system but it still does not go away.

i attached a screen shot of the icon in the dock.........please help i just do not want this small thing to spoil my otherwise perfect mac :)
