Hi, i have this problem, i change the old hard drive for a new ssd, but every time the installation its done, and I shutdown my mac book (2012), the ssd loose the installation partition and the boot can´t find the startup disk, I already try install the system a couple of times, the macbook just erase the partition where is the installation, but if I restart the mac or just sleep, everything it's fine, only when I shutdown, what can I do? thanks

Also, if I put back the HDD, starts as usual.

I don’t see a MacBook 2012 in the database, but there is a MacBook Pro 2012, 13" and 15". I’m assuming you have one or the other.

Was the SSD formatted as APFS instead of HFS+? What version of macOS is running?

Tony asks a good question, how did you format the SSD? Dependent on the macOS you're running it would need to be formatted as either MacOS Extended (Journaled) or APFS (most recently) and mapped as GUID.
