SOLVED Sony Bravia TV remote not working with Apple TV

Hi folks! I've been happily using my Sony Bravia TV remote to control my Apple TV for the longest time, but out of the blue, a few days ago, it just stopped working correctly. Now, I can turn the Apple TV on and off with the remote, but that's about it—I can't navigate anymore. I've tried just about everything, including the "Learn Remote" feature, but it seems like my remote is now a stranger to my Apple TV.

I'm wondering if a recent software update might have thrown things off. Has anyone else experienced this? I'd really appreciate any advice or tips you might have!

I think you can "Re-Pair" the remote with the Apple TV but I'm overseas at the moment so can't check on mine.
As recall it's;

1. Open Settings
   
   on Apple TV.
2. Go to Remotes and Devices > Learn Remote, then follow the onscreen instructions. If your remote is already listed try removing it and "pairing" it again.
