Somnoma 14.1 download?

Why am I not getting an update message indicating to install Sonoma 14.1? It has been released, but is it available to update?

Why am I not getting an update message indicating to install Sonoma 14.1? It has been released, but is it available to update?

Are you going into System Settings > General > Software Update? You should get the choice to update if available.

If you have tried System Settings and are not getting the offer to upgrade, try using Terminal to search for available installers for your particular Mac. Open Terminal and enter the code:

softwareupdate --list-full-installers

The output should be something like…

Your result should have Sonoma 14.1.1 on top. Next, enter this command:

sudo softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 14.1.1

if indeed 14.1.1 was on top of the list. Enter your password and the download should start. The installer file will be located in your Applications folder. If it did not start automatically, double-click to do it. But I suggest rebooting first, and perhaps restart in Safe Mode.
