Safari problem

Hi,
Not been using safari long my problem is when I save bookmarks in safari they show bookmark icons at the beginning of there web address i.e. You Tube had orange box with a white dot in it & Apple had a grey apple showing but when I go back later all bookmarks change to orange circle with lines inside is this how safari shows saved bookmarks or has something gone wrong ?, the reason I am asking is if I open a folder with lots of saved bookmarks I like to know if they belong to say You Tube / Apple etc, etc, instead of all orange circles with lines through which don’t indicate any particular website, Hope I have explained this o.k.

The FavIcons are cleared when your history is cleared.

In your settings for Safari under General, change the setting for Remove History Items to Manually.

Just note that when you manually clear your history you will also remove the favicons
