Reformatted Mac HDD with DBAN, unable to install OS X Snow Leopard

Wanted to wipe my computer multiple times. Completely erased everything on it in ubuntu. Trying to install Mac OS before I sell. Had to borrow a friends instillation disc. It is a Mac book Pro Mid 2009. When I boot it up, I hold options until the CD pops up. Once I run it, its starts with the Apple logo in the middle of the screen with a spinning wheel underneath. After that it turns into the circle with a slash through it.

you'll need either the original install media that shipped with your Mac OR a Full Retail Version … each Mac comes with it's own unique install media which is machine specific
