Purging emails from entourage?

The 60 Gig hard drive on my Powerbook G4 was down to 500 megabytes in memory so I deleted 23,000 of 35,000 emails in entourage on my computer. I deleted them, then permanently deleted them. many of the emails had large attachments, etc. After doing this I restart my computer and it now has 350 megabytes of memory and I am getting warnings to free up disc space, etc. So what do I have to do? If it helps I use OS 10.4.11 and entourage 2004.

Probably a new thread - moving mail to trash

Greetings and a Happy New Year to everyone.

I am running OS X Leopard.

Help please - impossible to move a message from my inbox to trash...it is completely blank and goes vaguely grey but will not move anywhere else.

By the way, it seems difficult to post a new thread here.....
