Print selected text only

Greets,

Sometimes I want to print only a section of text instead of the entire document. I have been copying & pasting the desired section on to a blank page (AppleWorks or Text Edit) and printing it that way. But it seems there must be a a keyboard shortcut that would allow me to print only the selected text.

Any suggestion?
