Hi there,

I'm servicing a user's computer, and here's the dish. PowerMac G4 (Pretty blue, white power LED, not green, meh). I plug it in, plug the monitor in, the keyboard in, good times. I hit power, and the power LED turns on...then dims. It's like it's half on, similar brightness to the soft side of the typical mac "breathing" LED)

I hit the power button and it brightens up, then dims again. I tried resetting the PRAM to no change.

Any help would be appreciated.

Did you by chance install new RAM in this computer? If you did, it could be the reason for your problems. Remove the additional RAM and try to boot the computer with its factory installed RAM.

Aha, we had some PC100 and some PC133 in there. At least now I can get something on the monitor and can run some Diagnostics!
