Help!
I took a chance on this MacBook Pro 2017 13-Inch (A1708) with a broken screen. I disconnected the screen ribbon cable to force external display out.
Power on takes me to the gray question mark folder.
Power on and Command + R takes me to the Apple logo and stays there.
Power on and Option takes me to a black screen with a mouse pointer that changes to the Internet Recovery icon with an arrow up below it. Clicking the arrow up button makes the screen go black but it does not reboot or shutdown.
For better or worse, I reset the NVRAM and SMC. No change.
Thanks,
