Hello,
Can someone help me with my pictures. I have them in iPhoto and in my
picture folder. There
are over 8000 pics. Is this too much. I have copied them all on to
CD's for backup and would
like to know if I should delete One or the other. I like to have them
come up as a screen
saver, but wonder if this is too much MB. Sometimes seems sluggish. I don't know about this.
Another thing is should I decompress so they aren't such big files
and how =
do I do that? Is
there a way to do that like compossing an email does in iPhoto??
Please help
Vicki

If you have plenty of disk space, then having both the back-up and the originals on your drive should not be a problem.

As for using the photos as a screen saver, maybe you'll slow things down depending on how often you cycle through the photos as a screen saver. Maybe you could select just a few photos and create an alias folder just with those and use them as your screen saver. I've never used that many photos as a screen saver.
