I've had a couple of copies of Rudyard Kipling's Just So Stories, but lent them 'into private collections'. So I tried to get them on the internet. I downloaded from Google and Daisy, but either can't open the text files (NeoOffice says they're locked), or get machine code gobbledegook such as:
<?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>
<!DOCTYPE resources PUBLIC "-//NISO//DTD resource 2005-1//EN" "http://www.daisy.org/z3986/2005/resource-2005-1.dtd">
<!-- file and contents not yet tested -->
<resources xmlns="http://www.daisy.org/z3986/2005/resource/" version="2005-1">
<scope nsuri="http://www.daisy.org/z3986/2005/ncx/">
The filename endings are (Google).odp, .epub and (Daisy) .xsl, .dtd, .ncx, .opf, .smil, .xml.
Are they only for Microsofties, or have I missed a trick somewhere?
