SOLVED Not seeing new iPhone 12 in Finder on MacBook Pro

Hi guys. Just bought a new iPhone 12 standard and would like to sync to my MacBook Pro with Mojave and version 10.14.6. The phone is running iOS 14.4.
I am unable to "see" the iPhone in locations in Finder. I have the phone plugged into a usb and turned on. Thanks.

Hello,

Syncing an iPhone via Finder was added in Catalina. In Mojave, you would still use iTunes.

Mojave and earlier:
Use iTunes to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod with your computer

Catalina and later:
Use the Finder to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod with your computer
