I have a PowerBook G4 (gigabit ethernet), running CAT5e through a gigabit switch to a gigabit external hard drive (D-Link 323), but it is running closer to 10 base-T. That is with PB and external set either manually or on automatic. The switch is not configurable.
However, 100 baseT is fine when everything is set to that. I have had gigabit work previously, although sporadically. Usually restarting everything worked. Am I just restarting in the wrong order or did something just blow up?
