slow dowload on desktop but not laptop on same wireless network

My desktop and laptop are connected wirelessly to my modem. The modem is delivering 15 mps and the laptop is downloading at 13-15 mps yet the desktop is downloading at only .9 mps! Can't find anything different yet the dowload continues to be only .9 mps. Help!

Even if I hardwire my desktop to the modem the speed remains at .9 mbps. So Wireless is not the problem. Anyway, why would the laptop downoads at 14 mbps and it is just in the next room.

Ok...
I'm guessing your network setting aren't right. Perhaps DNS, if you're using Automatic.
