I have a new router and my iPad recognized the router fine. Then it also recognized my wireless laser printer (a do everything printer) and my printer now refuses to do anything but copy. The iPad recognizes the printer but as a “Direct” connection. I would like to remove the “recognized” printer...How? Or at least remove the “direct” part of its recognition.

Hello and welcome.

-Which model iPad?
-Which version of iOS?
-Which brand/model laser printer?
-Does the printer support AirPrint?
-Is the printer only connected via Wi-Fi, or is it also connected via USB to a computer?

OK, thanks for the additional information.

Sounds like the iPad is connecting directly to the printer's Wi-Fi, instead of your router's Wi-Fi. I would setup the printer again to join your home network, then do the same for the iPad.
