Neo Office problem since upgrading to HS 10.13.3 and installing Parallels

As my Fusion no longer worked I decided to try Parallels as it's a lot cheaper. Worked OK but not totally convinced so uninstalled it. Now when I go to open Neo Office files I get an error message saying that Parallels is no longer installed so can''t open Word files. (I save my Neo Office files as Word). I therefore have to click the file then right click and select Neo Office app from the list of alternative apps. This works OK but is a nuisance. How can I by default tell Neo Office to open files saved as Word like it used to do before Parallels cocked it up?
