My macbook air 2012 has trouble booting and plays the memory integrity error

ive been trying to repair an old 2012 macbook air to give to my girlfriend for christmas, i replaced the battery and the ssd card (as it didnt have one prior to this) yet it still beeps 3 times then a five sec pause upon start up, i understand that this is a ram issue but i have had some luck by using the smc reset command and have been able install mac os x through the internet recovery but have not been able to boot it since as it continues to play the error message. any advice on this would be very appreciated
