I just replaced the trackpad module in my m1 macbook air and for some reason the A and D keys are completely dead. The new trackpad works fine but I have no idea what would've caused a couple of the keys to stop working. Any ideas?

Hello and welcome.

Sounds like there may be a connector not seated properly or the top case/keyboard may have been ESD damaged during the installation of the trackpad.
  • Do those keys work on an external keyboard if you connect one?
  • Have you run Apple Diagnostics?
Other than the above, I don't have any suggestions, as I haven't repaired any Apple Silicon MacBook Airs.
