missing application

my Excel is missing from the dock, instead I have a "?"
I did go to finder and application , but Excel is not listed. How can i get it back?

spotlight Excel to see where its gone, move it back to Applications.
If you are using bridge, be very very careful as you can easily move/lose whole folders.
If you're running as an Admin account you can also easily move or delete Applications.

If its been deleted then you'll need to reinstall it from your Disks.
