Missing applications folder again, need help!

This happened to me once before and I can't remember how to fix it, though last time I ended up wiping the whole computer clean and reinstalling everything. I hope I don't have to do that again.

Anyway, when I open my Finder window, the whole applications folder is missing. It used to be there and I know I didn't move it. It's still in the sidebar, thankfully and shows up when I do a search for the folder. Last time, it went hidden somehow and I had to un-hide it. If someone could please let me know how to un-hide it, that would be great!
