Hello

For the last 2-3 years I've been encountered with a very annoying problem regarding my MacBook and it really starts to do my head in.
It freezes at random moments when I'm just doing my thing on Google YouTube Word etc and 1 minute later it restarts with a screen saying 'Your computer restarted because of a problem, press a key or wait a few seconds to continue the start-up.' When I get to the Apple menu after doing the login, I get a report giving all this info I don't have a clue about but the title always is 'MacOS problem report.' I've tried many things like going to the MacOS Recovery System and reinstalling the MacOS but when I do that it also freezes and crashes. Updating my MacOS doesn't work either as it always crashes at a random point during an update. It miraculously worked once though a few months ago and then I didnt have a crash in like 2 weeks. Also tried a new computer battery as requested by the reparation store I went to but that didn't work either. The only time my computer doesn't crash is when I'm in Safe Mode, like now, so maybe I can do something but idk what, if someone could help me it would mean the world to me.

Since your MacBook runs without crashing in Safe Mode, the problem is likely related to software or a non-essential hardware component. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue:

Follow the steps:

  1. Check for Software Conflicts:
    • In Safe Mode, go to System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login Items.
    • Remove all login items and restart normally. If this resolves the issue, add the items back one at a time to identify the culprit.
  2. Check Disk Health:
    • In Safe Mode, open Disk Utility from Applications > Utilities.
    • Run First Aid on your startup disk to check and repair any disk errors.
  3. Reset NVRAM/PRAM and SMC:
    • Reset NVRAM/PRAM: Shut down your Mac, then turn it on and immediately press and hold Option + Command + P + R for about 20 seconds.
    • Reset SMC: Shut down your Mac, then press Shift + Control + Option and the power button at the same time, hold for 10 seconds, then release all keys and turn on your Mac.
  4. Check for Malware:
    • While in Safe Mode, download and run a malware scanner like Malwarebytes to ensure your system isn't infected.
  5. Update or Reinstall macOS:
    • Since you mentioned issues with reinstalling macOS, try creating a bootable USB installer with a fresh copy of macOS using another Mac or a trusted friend's Mac. Boot from the USB and perform a clean installation.
  6. Check Hardware Issues:
    • Run Apple Diagnostics by shutting down your Mac, then turning it on and immediately pressing and holding the D key.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to check for any hardware issues.
  7. Consult Apple Support:
    • If none of the above steps work, it might be time to contact Apple Support or visit an Apple Store for a more in-depth hardware diagnostic.
Let me know if it helps.
Best
