My computer doesnt want to start up. I can heard the fan and harddrive working when i try to turn it on but the screen stays off, and there is no turning on sound. It is a older Macbook, 2007 I believe. I have had it just under a year and have never had problems with it. It was working fine a week ago. I tried turning it on yesterday and nothing. I brought it into best buy and they said it probably is the logic board. Is there anyway I can conform this myself or do i need to pay a company to check it? If it is the logic board, do you think it is worth replacing or should i sell the parts and get a new one?? Isthere anything else i could possibly do??

Hi and welcome,

Possibly hook up an external monitor and see what the results are. And personally I would look to an Apple store rather than Best Buy.
