MacBook WiFi stops working after a while connected to WiFi extender

I set up a router (Verizon FIOS G1100) at my dorm with the upstream being the uni network (eduroam) so that I can get my Google Home Mini to work and iMazing’s automatic iPhone backups to work over WiFi (usually, the devices wouldn’t be able to discover each other since eduroam doesn’t have UPnP or something). I basically did what this Reddit comment suggested, and everything works perfectly except after ~20-30 mins or so, my MacBook’s WiFi suddenly slows to a crawl and, shortly after, stops working. It gets a bit weird: ping can’t connect to IP addresses on the LAN (or the WAN; for example, ping google.com fails) (ping 127.0.0.1 works, though), browser tabs crash, the network page in system preferences takes a while to load, and when I try to shut down, some programs (e.g., Spotify) hang and I have to force quit them. However, after rebooting, everything works for another ~20-30 mins, and then it happens again. This whole conundrum does not occur on non-extender networks (e.g., eduroam). I feel like this is a software problem because I remember having a similar issue at home (I connected my computer via Ethernet to my extender and, after some time, it too would have WiFi not working and programs freezing up) and my phone connects the whole time to the router with no issue. Any pointers on how I could go about debugging/fixing this?

Btw, I got this kernel panic by waiting some time after the WiFi stopped working and attempting to reboot (it seems to get slower and slower after the WiFi stops working until it, I assume, just kernel panics on its own, which is why it tells me it crashed overnight when I turn it on for the first time in the morning). Don’t know if it will be useful or not, but here it is:

Code:

Nevermind; somehow, I switched to a different router (still using bridge mode), and it no longer has the issue. :)

Ok, actually, even with the new router, it turns out that the WiFi still eventually stops working, just at pretty random intervals instead of every 20-30 mins. Any pointers? My new router is a Linksys RE6500.
