So earlier today I downloaded the beta version of the Mac Messenger, which is 8. As soon as I installed it, it got really buggy, like signing me in and out repeatedly, and after a few minutes it would freeze. I tried to install the older Messenger, but it says I can't because the "messenger daemon" is in use. I can't open the daemon, I can't quit it, I can't force quit it, and I can't delete it. So now I don't have any Messenger at all.
Anyone had this happen before? Any ideas?
