Mac Mail, POP and Yahoo

Hi all,

I couldn't find the answer to this already on here, so here's hoping...

I've just upgraded to Leopard - I'm running a G5. I'm trying to set up mail so that it will sync with my yahoo mail account. To cut a long story short, it doesn't work. It tells me that it couldn't log into the mail server and that Yahoo may require an additional fee for POP access.

I've checked the Yahoo help pages and it doesn't say anything about a fee.

Can anyone help me with this?

If your Yahoo account is a free account, then it won't work with Mail. In order to check a Yahoo account with a mail application, you need to be a paid user for Yahoo Mail. If it's a free account, you will need to check your Yahoo mail via a web browser.
