Hi,
The keyboard on my Macbook pro 2018 is not responding.
This has happened a few times before. Resetting the SMC used to help, until now.
Attaching an external keyboard allows me to type, but it's not as convenient for me.
Apple support had me reset the pram as well and update to Monterey - that didn't help either.
I'm looking for any option that wouldn't require me to give the PC to a lab - the standard service time is 5 work days, and that's too much.
Thanks.

Hello and welcome.

If an SMC and NVRAM/PRAM reset doesn't help, it is probably a hardware issue that would require service. It's probably not a software issue, since an external keyboard works for you. There isn't much more troubleshooting that we can suggest unfortunately.

Sorry and happy holidays!
