Keeps locking up

I have an Emac G4 running 10.3.9
My computer keeps locking up when the dialog box is closing
ie: adding a bookmark the box comes down and I click OK and as the box starts to go back up, the computer freezes. Happening 3 out of 5 times the box is displayed. Have to unplug and restart.
Any suggestions as to cause.

Hi there Maudee and welcome,

I presume this is happening in your Web browser ? What are you using ?

Does anything else make it crash ?

First thing to try, restart (hold down the c key) with the original OS CD in and then from the Menu bar launch Disk Utility and run a Repair Disk and then a Repair Permissions, then reboot.

Try that and let us know how you get on. (if anybits are unclear let us know)
